Penny has been in travel over 25 years, starting as a part time junior, now the owner of a successful award winning corporate travel agency in Sydney – Spencer Travel. Over 60% of her staff have only worked for Penny and this is what has helped Penny win numerous awards.

Sandra Chiles - Vice Chairman
Sandra’s career in travel spans many disciplines, but is better known for her role in industry recruitment. It is her belief in people as being our greatest asset that led Sandra to initiate the recently formed Travel Industry Careers Association (TICA) to address the skills shortage and to encourage the retention of staff within the travel industry.

Peter Baily - Committee
Peter is General Manager of the Council of Australian Tour Operators Association representing the leading Tour Operators and Wholesalers in Australia. He has been in the travel industry since 1970, starting as a tour operator specialising in Africa. In the last 20 years he has specialised in outbound tour wholesaling.

Reg Edwards - Committee
Manager Travel and Tourism Programs – Community Services, Health, Tourism and Recreation Curriculum Centre – TAFE NSW. Reg has been involved in the travel industry for 30 years and his current role is to develop training programs and supporting resources for the delivery of travel and tourism courses in NSW. He is currently the president of the Australian TAFE Tourism and Hospitality Educators Association

Ainslie Hunt - Committee
Ainslie Hunt joined TMS with the responsibility of building recruitment services for the Travel, Tourism & Hospitality industries across New South Wales before taking on the General Management position for Australia/NZ in 2007. Ainslie commenced her career in Travel Industry Leisure Sales and Business Development before joining the recruitment arena.

Meg Salter - Committee
Meg Salter joined Flight Centre Limited as a retail consultant in 1996 straight out of university and was instantly addicted. After 10 years of amazing experiences and incredible opportunities in varying sales and support roles in Australia and the UK, she started Auridian Training & Consulting which specialises in conducting workshops and conferences within the travel industry. She is proud to be a part of TICA and is committed to helping people have similarly exciting and rewarding careers in the travel industry.

Pam Segal joined AFTA Travel & Tourism College in January 1995 when the college first opened its doors. She trained many students who gained successful employment within the travel industry before taking on the Manager/Principal role in 1999. Pam commenced her travel industry career straight from school in consolidation and retail travel, followed by Corporate Travel Agency Management, before joining the education and training side of the industry.

Mandy Scotney (House of Travel, Executive General Manager – Retail) has had a diverse career across the travel industry. Her experience has included both operational and HR management positions in the travel industry and she has worked with a number of Australia’s leading travel retail travel brands. Qualified with a degree in Human Resources Management, Mandy also brings with her significant experience in the recruitment industry having held senior positions within travel and retail recruitment organisations.

Robyn Willis Inglis – Committee
Robyn began her career in the travel industry (last century) as a junior in retail leisure, then corporate then all aspects of wholesale including tour guiding and then a career in training and teaching.Robyn is delighted she can combine her past experience with her passion for training and development in her role as National Training Manager for Travelscene American Express.

Carine Ernest – Committee
Carine started her career as a retail travel consultant and is now the Team Operations Manager at Corporate Travel Management looking after blue chip accounts and nine travel consultants. Carine is passionate about working in the travel industry and is delighted to lend a hand on the TICA committee working alongside other like minded professionals.
